dog barking deterrent

www.BuyBarkoffOnline.com Through the years, dog owners have struggled to uncover an effective method to silence their dogs barking. Many times, the need to deter barking behavior is a necessity since it infringes upon the rights of others- especially in an apartment or shared living situation. Of course, many barking deterrent devices have been created to stop barking dogs but, unfortunately, most of these operate through inhumane means. The Barkoff puts an end to needing to resort to cruel barking training methods and enables the dog owner to effectively stop barking through a safe and gentle method. This new and humane barking silencer is called the Barkoff and it employs ultrasonic sounds which immediately gain your pets attention and disrupts nuisance barking. Put an end to shock collars and other cruel anti barking devices and get proven results with a barking prevention device that is completely petsafe and humane. Check out the BarkOff Today!

dog deterrent

Several of my neighbors have cats. These kitties have taken to digging around in my flower beds. My dog offers them no deterrent as she likes to "play" with them.

I’ve heard that pepper spray and even just sprinkled peppercorns can deter some animals. Is this a safe option? I’d rather not resort to chemicals or stand guard over my plants and asking neighbors to keep their cats under control is just silly. Are there better options?

I also have a neighbor dog that constantly escapes and knocks over the garbage cans in the alley. I was considering spraying the cans and the surrounding area with it too.
I’m not going to spray the ANIMALS! I’m going to spray the ground and plants! This isn’t the kind of pepper spray used for self-defense. Did you read my question. Obviously, I’m looking for a safe option.
The section they have been digging is full of daffodils. lol!

dog deterrent

Does anybody have a recipe for any kind of natural spray or liquid I can make from common foods/spices, etc. that would help keep my dog away from certain areas in the backyard? I know they have chemical ‘boundary’ sprays at the pet store, but I was thinking if anybody knows of certain scents, etc. that dogs don’t like.

Maybe like pepper in vinegar or something like that? Just so the dog will take a sniff and stay away.
Thanks.

dog barking deterrent

My husband and I have 2 very nasty neighbors who each have small yippety dogs that bark CONSTANTLY! From 8AM until sundown, all that I hear through my windows is "yip yip yip".

One of them keeps an electric fence collar on hers (most of the time, but I occasionally catch her roaming in our yard, digging holes), the other does not. Every day when I am out working in the yard, one of the dogs runs up to me, and barks incessantly. This triggers the other dog to bark. Sometimes when the barking seems very close to my house I go outside and need to chase the dog off of my deck and back into her yard, while she barks the whole way. I can’t have a minute of peace in my own yard or house!

We have a large breed dog who, in turn, does NOT bark. He is kept on a runner so he cannot leave our yard. The small dog instigates and teases our dog by running circles around him.

I have tried scolding the dog and throwing small rocks at her to scare her (not to hit her), but it only deters her for a minute before she comes running back.

I can assure you that speaking to each of these neighbors will do no good. They are ignorant, selfish people and will probably find a way to blame me for their dog’s barking. I believe that they simply filter out the barking because it is so constant. I, however, refuse to and do not feel that I should suffer due to their lack of training. I confronted one of them last year when her dog dug an enormous hole in one of our mulch beds. She yelled at ME, then sent her son over to do a half a** job filling the hole. If my dog ever did that in her yard, we would never hear the end of it!

I have considered using the Dog Silencer Pro to stop my neighbor’s dogs from barking, however I do not want my dog to suffer when the ultrasonic frequencies (inaudible to humans) go off.

I have a few questions. How do I keep this dog out of my yard? How can I get both of these dogs to stop barking? What are the legal limitations for use of deterrents on MY property to keep the other dog out? I want something that will work, but I do not want the MSPCA knocking at my door.
We have a very large yard, and to put up a fence big enough to keep the dogs out it would cost over ,000… I know, good fences make good neighbors. And I’d love to keep the neighbors out just as much as their dogs, haha

Can you recommend a dog?

dog deterrent

What kind of dog would you recommend as a companion for an elderly lady who will only be able to take it for one short walk each day. She requires a gentle dog that can be trusted when grandchildren visit but one that would make enough noise to be a deterrent should anyone wish to enter uninvited. Also it would need to be light coloured as the lady is partially sighted and cannot see dark objects, A dark dog could cause an accident unfortunately. This is a tall order but can it be done? Neither I nor she know anything about different breeds of dog and their needs etc.
