i have recently got the crosman phantom for my birthday and its awesome but its kinda loud and it scares the dogs so is there like a silencer/supressor for it made by crosman or some other company ?

neighbors barking dog

I know every dog barks insistently at one time or another, and each dog has their flaws…but this dog that is across the street barks and barks. They own 2, I think, but it is the one that barks all night and day long. I have been up since 4 am (it is now 6) and he has shut up for only a brief minute. I understand that he will bark if something passes…nothing has at 2 am when he is going at it! I am a firm believer in Karma. I know my dog is a nuisance. He is a rescue that was beaten, he jumps my fence every day and sits in the carport area. Most of my neighbors have made the comment "doesn’t he stay?" I told them no. I’ve done all i can. He will not come inside, he vomits the minute he comes in/ The vet said it was too traumatic for him. I have tied him out..(don’t have the heart to keep that enforced) plus dog pound came and told me it was a ,000 fine. I have bought him a dog run. He rocks it until he can get out. So my point is if i complain about this ever barking dog, are they going to retaliate about mine? I thank God every day, I don’t have barkers. My husband even says my chihuahua isn’t a chihuahua because he doesn’t bark..lol! What do you think i should do?

I have checked some of the pet store websites and haven’t found anything. The deterrent could be scent, or electricity, or just an unpleasant feel. We have some outside dogs that get a little insistent when they want to come inside. We don’t want to hurt them–just keep them from damaging the door.

I would appreciate any websites or other sources that I might be able to check out.

About the ASPCA, we live in Pleasanton, Texas. I’m not going to give a street address for obvious reasons. We don’t want to hurt our animals, just keep them from damaging our brand new and very expensive back door. I doubt if the ASPCA would find our actions objectionable–they might even have some good ideas.

ultrasonic dog

My neighbor’s yard is 150 feet away. His dogs bark all day and most of the night. I’d like to mount a sonic bark control speaker which will produce an ultrasonic sound every time the dog barks. That’s supposed to keep the dog quiet. But they are effective up to only 100 feet. I need a system that will work beyond 100 feet. Cost is no object. The dog owners will not cooperate. I have a problem with stray cats coming into my yard and knocking over all of my ceramic planters and killing my flowers. I have to make them go away. I read that mothballs are a good deterrent for cats but it may be lethal to them just from inhaling the smell? Or eating it-I’m not sure. To tell you the truth, I really don’t care. I know that sounds mean but I was bitten by one and it ended up costing me 0 and that’s with health insurance. So between biting me and killing my plants and pooping in my yard..I want them gone!
I can either try moth balls or a sprinkler motion sensor that sprays them when they come in the yard but that’s going to cost me another 0.
Mothballs only cost .
My question is, I have 2 dogs, will the mothball scent harm my dogs? I don’t want my dogs getting sick.
And I know you’re going to lecture me about being mean to cats but I’ve tried to be nice to them but they’re costing me tons of money I just can’t afford. I just want them to go away. If you have another solution that isn’t expensive than please let me know. Thank you.
Okay, I was afraid of that. I really didn’t want to harm the cats anyway. There’s got to be another solution.
They are stray cats and I’ve tried adopting one and being nice but it bit me and end up costing me close to a thousand dollars so I’m finished with being nice to them.

He is incontinent of urine and he is ruining my wood floor in the dining room where he has chosen to urinate and defecate. I’ve put a litter box there on top of layers of paper and trash bags. The volume of urine has increased over the last week and I don’t know if its all the cat or if the dog – who is explicitly trained to go out and always has been – is adding to what the cat is doing. The floor boards are starting to warp not to mention the carpet being ruined and the odor and on and on.

The cat is being treated by a vet and I hope you all will help me out if you can without getting into what the vet is doing. Suffice it to say he’s being well cared for but he is very ill.

Do any of you have any suggestions about a deterrent to the cat urinating all over as well as in his box. I will keep the dog in a room tonight and see what happens there. Any suggestions will be very gratefully received. Our cat is 12 and his brother and litter mate died in September 2010 of the same issues that this one remaining cat has. Thanks in advance.
We had to put his brother to sleep because his illness was so advanced that he was desperately ill and keeping him for our sakes would have been cruel. The remaining cat did not show any symptoms until after his brother died. The answer to your question is yes I have considered it. Should I keep him alive and have him ruin part of our house more than he already has? The vet is aware of all this and since we had such trauma with losing the other cat he would like to avoid that for us if possible as long as this one is not in pain. The other thing I tell myself is that since there is already such a large amount of damage I will do the best I can to protect and clean the area and keep him with us unless or until he must be put to sleep. Thanks for answering. I don’t know what to do frankly.

neighbors barking dog

Is there some type of invention out there that can be bought to keep it from barking? I have spoken with the owner and apparently they don’t care. Anybody got an idea?

Please refrain from the phrase " kill the dog" I have thought about it and I have come to the conclusion its not the dogs fault. I just want peace and quiet.

both the neighbor’s next to my house have dogs, and they can’t control the damn dogs to stop making noise, they absolutely don’t care, im going crazy, and so does my GF who lives with me, she often fights me because of it, a little noise happens and one dog begin bark, and all dogs begin bark, i even thought about poisoning the dogs but there are too many of them, five in total

i saw a add about ultrasonic bark control, its suppose to make a annoying noise that can only be heard by the dog every time the dog bark and it keeps them quiet

anyone ever tried this? how effective is it?
