neighbors barking dog
O.k. this is not an exaggeration when I say our neighbors dog barks 24/7. I am not blaming the dog, trust me. They leave it out in the cold which is why it barks so freaking much! Guess what wakes us up at 5 in the morning, every morning, every day? The dog. We have already spoken to them about this & it stopped for about a month but it has continued.. for a good 2 years at least. It is beginning to drive us all insane, & is just plain rude. My question is, is there anyone we can call about this? I’m scared to call somewhere because I don’t want them to take away the dog, and then hurt it, or kill it. I just think she should be in a safe home where she doesn’t get treated like crap. They are always screaming at her too. Anyone know who to call, who wouldn’t hurt the dog? Thank you!
It is barking as I type this…

dog deterrent
She’s teething at the moment and in the "I can eat anything" mode. She is almost 5 months old and an Irish Wolfhound – so nothing is out of reach. She doesn’t damage anything, She just likes the movement of them in the wind.
It just bothers me because I have to rewash them..
She can’t be tied up anywhere, she has an abundance of toys that she also plays with, and she is not allowed inside (and I do not want abuse for this fact, I know most dogs live inside in America, but not here).
Basically I want suggestions for deterrents. I know most will suggest training but I have tried and this is very difficult as she only does it when we are not around.
Please don’t be rude. I am not an idiot because my dog isn’t allowed inside. I am asking for suggestions on deterrents. Because things are different here than they are there doesn’t make it worse. My dogs are probably better cared for then most inside dogs. I know you won’t believe a word I say, but please do not come on here to insult.

ultrasonic dog
My dog has been a lost cause for a long time.
We have tried numerous training methods and even professional trainers.
I have since had a baby and his uncontrollable barking, jumping, and biting can not be tolerated anymore.
I really don’t want to have to use a shock collar, but clicker, citronella, ultrasonic.. didn’t work.
We are all worried he could kill or severely harm my daughter. He has already stepped on her, I couldn’t hold him back. He jumps and constantly barks at me when I hold her, jumps on me. He jump on her carrier hitting her.
No matter who comes over to the house he jumps all over them and barks the whole time. We have tried taking him into other rooms, but he is too strong. He is a GSD/Coonhound mix.
I live with my parents momentarily, he is my 20 year old brothers dog, and there is no option of finding him (dog) a new home. My brother refuses to deal with the dog, or even care for it.
It’s called correction doesn’t work.
I have tried those collars.

dog deterrent
I’ve asked this question a thousand times, and I still don’t know what to do. It’s getting frustrated.
Basically my cat is almost 4 years old, I’ve had him since he was a 3 month old kitten. He has been neutered since I got him and still has his claws. I also have a dog and we lived with another cat for a while. He’s been urinating on things since I got him. Anything that can be construed as a bed (pet beds, pillows, mats, folded laundry). I have narrowed down reasons and I think he doesn’t like other animals.
I’ve tried deterrents and foil and things. As soon as the foil is off, he comes back to it and pees on it. I’m tired of buying new things and I’m tired of smelling cat pee!
Is this just the way he is? If so, it’s annoying. Any suggestions on how to make him stop? I can’t just get rid of everything soft, I don’t want to get rid of him, and I don’t want to get rid of the dog.

dog deterrent
No offense to cat lovers but i seem to have about 6 to 10 cats from somewhere in the neighborhood that like to antagonize my large dog at night. These cats will start hanging out in my front yard generally 2 hours after it gets dark and will continue in various group sizes throughout the night. my dog has his own room where he spends most of his time…this room has windows facing the front yard and when he hears/sees/smells these feline bullies he just goes crazy with the barking and trying to get through the windows to them. I have scared the cats off on numerous occasions but they come back if not that night for sure the next night. The cats are not around at all during the day. I can tell the way they group up in the yard and the way they are all facing the house in the direction of my dog’s windows that they are there for one purpose only…..To irritate and antagonize! Does anyone know of something that would work as a cat deterrent or something that would keep them out of my yard? Is there something they don’t like the smell of ? I have been considering chaining my dog up outside for a night or two but i am thinking it might be bad for a cat or two or the cats might step it up a notch and aggravate my dog even closer up knowing he’s on a limited chain.

dog silencer
My boyfriend is a former Marine and for Father’s Day I want to give him a dog tag for our newest "son" Acog. Acog is an 11 week old American Bulldog. He has a black silencer on his, and I want everything to match. Raised script and all! Where can I go about custom ordering one??

dog barking deterrent
This is a 90 lb. German Shepherd/Doberman mix. We rescued him in 2002. Have tried tons of exercise, interaction, etc. Also tried a zonal bark deterrent, sonar anti-bark collar, shock anti-bark collar, shock anti-bark collar with remote. NOTHING WORKS! Have tried 1, then 2, and finally 3 Benadryl. Our dogs have what I call a "pup cave" under the deck. It’s insulated, heater in the winter, fan in the summer plus a sound machine going on when it’s not right for heater or fan. Wishing I could get him on nightly sleeping meds that would work. We now live on 1/4 of an acre and because it backs onto a golf course (estate sale…great deal…downturn in economy…needed this house) where deer feed, lots for him to wake up for. We both work during the day so can’t keep waking him up to reset his sleep pattern. Tried that in the summer and didn’t seem to help. He has his sister, a lab who is the alpha, for company all day. Suggestions? They’re building a new house now on the side of the fence where his howling usually commences.
We were on three acres before but had to sell that house due to the downturn in the economy. My husband’s business has completely stalled (small custom home builder) and I teach which means leaving at 6 a.m. and usually not getting back until at least 5 p.m.(Having just gone back to work this year, I am one of those whose jobs have been cut due to budget cuts.) We cannot afford doggy day care. Nor can I stay up all night as I’d probably either kill someone in a wreck going to/from school or certainly not be an effective teacher for my students. I guess the shelter is the only way though I seriously doubt that anyone is in the market for a big, black twelve year old howling dog. I am surprised at some of the responses as if this situation was so easy. Obviously, from all the interventions I’ve tried, it’s not like this has not bothered us before now. However, we’re being threatened with a lien on our home due to this. My husband has severe asthma and is allergic to dog dander, bringing

dog silencer
My neighbors little dogs are not going to drive me crazy this summer! They bark and scratch at the fence the whole time I am outside in the back yard. The Home Owner Association is going to send them a letter and they also suggested I contact my local Animal Control.
Has anyone used those electronic devices that send out a noise when dogs bark? Do they work? And what was it? They are not cheap, so I don’t want to keep buying ones to see if they work or not. What worked for you? I would like to buy one to put in my back yard aimed at my neighbor’s fence with the noisy dogs.
Thanks in advance!! I really am desperate here!
I did try to talk to them, but found out they don’t speak English. So I wrote them a letter last year, but nothing seemed to change. Same noise every day!! I’m about to pull my own hair out. Make BBQing not so fun. ):
No, talking to their dogs through the fence is no good. It just makes them rile-up more!

dog deterrent
I have a 3 year old neutered shi-poo. We moved at the beginning of the year to a new home that has a wooden deck that we keep our grill on. We originally noticed the dog peeing on the leg of the grill because of the snow on the ground around it was yellow. I am not sure if he did this before at the old house because the grill was in the back yard and I didn’t pay attention to it.
I bought a spray deterrent that worked occasionally, but now instead of peeing on the grill leg he has taken to peeing on the outside of the sliding glass door. I have sprayed the deterrent there and on the wood. I have scolded him, held his nose close to it (not in it) and put him in his kennel.
If I stand watch he doesn’t do it, but as soon as no one is watching he does it again.
Please help we are at our wits end. He has also begun barking more and become more nippy since the move but seems to be adjusting more except for the peeing thing.
