ultrasonic dog

I’m getting my female dog spayed in 10 days and I have about 10-15 stray male dogs in my yard basically living here like they own the place. At first I tried to chase them off but that didn’t work so well. Some of them are aggressive and mean and have charged at me once or twice but haven’t bitten me (yet). I’ve called the local animal control but I haven’t gotten a hold of anyone yet. Now I’m looking for sprays and ultrasonic sound devices but I’m not comfortable enough to buy them just in case they don’t work or they hurt the dogs. When my dog gets spayed, will that make the strays go away?

Also, how do I get rid of my dogs female smell from her first heat cycle after she gets spayed? I’ve heard that I can use pine-sol on my deck, but also that the rain will wash it away? Is this true?

dog silencer

It’s not a pure breed or anything.
It’s loud and it barks once every second

Can a regular person buy a gun with a silencer?
You can’t go to jail for shooting a dog can you? – Just a fine, right?

She’s a golden retriever. She barks consantly ALL night long and sometimes during the day too. She’s outside. We have to keep her in a pen at night so she doesn’t get out of the fence. We have tried the bark collars that shock them when they bark. It worked for a few months, but it doesn’t work anymore. Does the ultrasonic bark control work? My mom said I have to make her stop or we will have to either get rid of her or get her vocal cords removed. I need some suggestions. Thank you for reading this!
She CAN’T be inside. We have a bird, and guinea pigs that she would kill. Plus she’s too big and would tear stuff up. And what in the world can happen to her outside??? She’s fine. I just want the barking to stop.
Ok, can you just tell me what I can buy to make her stop barking? I love Angel and I spend time with her. We let her out during the day and we play with her a lot. I’m not getting rid of her. She is barking at other dogs in the neighborhood and the cat, not because she’s lonely.
Ok, she has a big pen that has a big dog house in it. She only stays in there at night and when we’re gone so she doen’t dig out of the fence and dig up the yard. Why can’t golden retrievers be outside? She’s 6 years old and we’ve had her outside her whole life. I don’t think I’m the only person in the world that keeps my dog outside. I don’t see a problem with that. I’m not getting rid of her or removing her vocal cords. I JUST want the barking to stop. I DON’T need people telling me to give her away or bring her inside!!! I want to know if those things you buy really work. Never mind. If you don’t know about the bark control you can buy then please don’t answer. I’m getting really frustrated. I’m going to go play with Angel and stop reading all of these stupid answers people are giving me. Thank you to Steve and Erica. You helped me.

What kind of dog should I get?

dog deterrent

I am a full time nursing student at the moment, so I am not planning on getting a puppy just yet…But I am trying to do plenty of research to find out what breed of dog is best. Of the surveys/dog breed selector quizzes I have taken, they keep pointing to Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Anatolian Shepherd, German Shepherd, Mastiff…

Here is what I am looking for:

A dog that I can leave alone while at work, with access to the outdoors and indoors. I plan on exercising the dog with walks and playing. And I plan on taking the time needed when I first bring the puppy home in order to form a bond with it.

A large dog that can will be a deterrent to strangers, yet not be very aggressive or overly friendly.

One that will get along with my small Chihuahua and my cat.

I do plan on taking any breed I get to obedience classes for socialization and proper training. Among working with the dog in general.

Above all else, I want an excellent companion.

I will be an RN, in my own home with a large fenced in yard, and more than likely single.

Any help you can provide me will be most appreciated.

Also, I have owned a german shepherd/chow mix, lab, cockerpoo, chihuahua, poodle, bloodhound…just to give a little insight on my dog ownership background.

How to deal with neighbors barking dog?

neighbors barking dog

So my idiot neighbor bought this tiny dog, its annoying as hell, literally just woke me up in 7:30AM and I’m pissed as hell!

Neighbor is an idiot, a 70 year old woman who has nothing better to do than let her dog out in 7:30AM to wake up her neighbors. Typical low-life who enjoys bringing misery to others. But, I can’t do anything about her, unfortunately, she borrowed some money to my parents not a while ago, even though that has absolutely nothing to do with me, I can’t do anything about her. Now, onto the dog, it’s a bit far from my yard, so I can’t really throw anything at it, is there anything else I can try? Like a dog whistle? Will that help me? It literally barks 3 barks/second.
If I didn’t make it clear, the dog is outside. I don’t believe law is going to help me, so I need some practical solutions. Can I just use my speakers and a high pitch noise?

I have a small maltipoo and every time we open the front door he tries to run out. We live on a pretty busy road and hes been hit by a car already once. We are always careful and the only time he gets out is if we have visitors and they dont shut the door fast enough. My husband is sick of having to go catch him and has resorted to just letting him be and one of the neighbors brings him back. If we can’t figure out how to stop him from running, we probally will end up giving him away. Is there a collar that would shock him if he tries to run out. We already have one of those ultrasonic collars that goes off when he approaches the door, but he just raisies his ears and goes for it. I need a collar that will shock him enough to stop him in his tracks. any ideas?

We currently have an almost 4 month old lab puppy. We love him to death, but he has a few horrible habits that we can’t seem to break. He barks incessantly, jumps up on counters, and chases the cat. He also still pees in the house, but we realize a remote trainer can’t solve this. We have tried the ultrasonic sound trainer, but this doesn’t seem to stop him from chasing the cat or barking. We successfully taught him sit and down by using the positive tone, though. We have tried everything to stop him from engaging in these bad behaviors (ignoring him, timeouts, coins in the can, etc.), but they don’t work. How old does he need to be before we can use a remote trainer collar to correct these problem behaviors. We don’t plan on using the remote trainer for general training purposes. We plan on using positive praise.

Can I put up on my side of the fence one of those battery powered anti-barking things?
