ultrasonic dog
My neighbor will not keep her dogs from barking at early morning hours for hours straight and I am losing sleep over it since I can hear the dogs very clearly through the walls of our apartments and she will not put them outside. I would not like to call someone like the police just yet and hope something I can do myself will solve the problem. I have seen dog whistles and those indoor/outdoor ultrasonic devises that go off when they pick up a dog barking or manually. Would either of these work through the walls of an apartment? Are walls are thin enough that when the dogs are barking, it sounds like they are in my apartment, but I also want something that is quite to humans, so she has no idea that I am doing this.
Any suggestions would be appreciated it
Thanks in advance!

dog deterrent
I want a dog! I am very experienced with dogs and various breeds so I don’t need information on that.
I am followed often and strange men make me feel uncomfortable. If you were a rapist or attacker, who would you choose? Why? Any advice?
The girl walking alone
The girl walking with an 65-90 pound dog
The breed is not important to me because my apartment complex is very strict on breed.
Here’s another interesting question:
If you choose the girl with a dog, would it be more of a deterrent if the dog was black? (a friend of mine said lighter colored dogs looked less aggressive and more approachable)
I am very experienced with dogs, I’m a trainer and my mother is and Animal Control Officer. However, this doesn’t mean that I know that people will stop following me if I get a big dog versus a little one. I have no idea how effective that will be because I have only recently been out on my own and dog-less. Before my mother or my friends would always accompany me on walks with my dogs so I didn’t know.

dog silencer
I have a dog who barks at everything, even the wind…
I live in an apartment and I am trying to be considerate. I have tried the the dog training and that worked for a while, but he loves the water so their method just did not work. I do not want to use anything inhumane, so if anyone has ever used this or heard anyone then please tell me if it really works!!!! I have read the testimonials on their site, but I always feel those are put on there by employees..not real people.

dog silencer
I am the proud parent of 3 beautiful dogs, but unfortunately, their barking is out of control! They bark at the door every time someone enters or leaves my apartment building. They bark at the slightest noise coming from outside! I haven’t been able to open my windows for years! I have tried everything to stop their nuisance barking but nothing seems to work. I took them to training classes, I had 2 different trainers come to my home for private lessons, I have used bark control sensors from PetsMart, citronella collars, you name it, and I have tried it!
So, if any of you have tried the Dog Silencer Pro, or any other similar product that actually works, PLEASE let me know!
Sincerely,
Desperate!
One dog is a Shih Tzu / Poodle, one is a Shih Tzu / Bichon, and the worst of the three is a Maltese / Bichon.
Tried the bark collars and yes, they do work, but they are rather inhumane! Not to mention you cannot leave them on a dog while you are at work! Thanks anyway!

dog deterrent
I adopted a 1 1/2 year old chiweenie a month ago and he chews EVERYTHING. Just within the last week, he has discovered chewing electrical chords too. I started to crate him whenever I leave the house, but he will bark and wimper until I get back (which I dont get because he is crate trained! It is not like hes never been in one before!).
I want to be able to leave him by himself for an hour when I go to get groceries without crating him….so I heard that pet stores sell this spray that you use to stop your dog from chewing. Does this stuff actually work? Are there other things that can be used besides the deterrent spray? I heard also that clove oil may work too? Thanks!
I crate him for bed every night and he does have a lot of toys to play with…he plays with all of them and enjoys them, but he is constantly looking for other things to chew. I’m not sure it is separation anxiety because he chews when I am home too!
OH and the reason I dont want to crate him when I am shopping/at work is because when I crate him any other time besides bedtime, he will yip and bark from the moment I leave till the moment I get home. I live in an apartment and I am afraid the neighbors will complain!
